Vodacom Tanzania targets SMEs with solution that grows business through tech
Tanzania’s integrated telecommunication service provider VODACOM Tanzania has launched a comprehensive communication solution targeting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with a focus on helping the SMEs grow their businesses through technology.
Dubbed Vodacom for SME, the solution is an attempt by the telco to tap into the growing SME space in the country.
The Minister for Industry Trade and Investment Charles Mwijage was all praises to Vodacom Tanzania for coming up with a communication solution solely aimed at helping SMEs grow their businesses through technology.
He urged telecom companies to continue innovating services that will make life better for Tanzanians through technology.
“We need such solutions to bolster our economic growth and improve lives of Tanzanians, therefore the government will keep supporting SMEs through SIDO while enabling them to join this new service tailored for them so that they can affordably grow their businesses through technology,” said the minister.
To help SMEs benefit from this new communications solution, Vodacom is set to dispatch a team that will go across the country, connecting business entities to this new offer that fits their business size and communications requirements.
The communication solutions encompass a wide range of services including: voice and data, mobile money, wireless connection, hosted services, machine-to-machine security, managed communications and fixed line solutions. With the launch of this one of its kind package for SMEs, businesses can now be assured to always stay connected wherever they are.
The services offers SMEs hustle free solutions at affordable prices, hence giving them the opportunity to concentrate on running their businesses, leaving Vodacom as their service provider to address their communications requirements.
Vodacom Tanzania Managing Director Ian Ferrao said: “Vodacom recognises the role of small and medium enterprises in the economy of Tanzania, as well as the fact that many ordinary Tanzanians are now embarking on running their own businesses, and that is why we came up with this solution so as to further cement our commitment to the sector.”
