Southern Business School Namibia donates school Equipment to Kindergartens

Southern Business School Namibia recently donated school supplies to four kindergartens in Maltahohe, specifically the Daweb Constituency in the Hardap Region of Namibia. These school supplies consisted of chairs, books and crayons and paint sets, all essential to children at kindergarten level.

As a tertiary distance education institution, SBS Namibia knows how important a solid foundation in education is. Without the proper tools of the trade, such as crayons, books and paint sets teaching the kids becomes much harder. When approached by the Council, Hercules Jantze with the request of a donation, SBS Namibia welcomed the opportunity.

Schools are always struggling to make ends meet and often only the schools in Windhoek receive donations, this is why SBS Namibia was moved to donate to four kindergartens further afield in the Daweb Constituency. This donation ensures that children are able to develop and learn in the way they are supposed to. The total value of the donation to the four kindergartens is N$ 10,000.-

Albin Jacobs, Director of SBS Namibia said; “Kids need a good, safe environment in which they can learn. Having the right equipment, chairs, desks and crayons is essential for kids to flourish. Although SBS Namibia deals with tertiary education, we believe that an interest and love for education needs to be fostered at the very beginning. That means that kindergarten is where it all begins.” The Deputy Minister of Gender and Child Welfare Honourable Lucia Basson added; “It is great that an organisation like SBS Namibia, itself involved in education, realises and understands the challenges we face at a grassroots level of education to ensure that the children have a good academic experience. With budget constraints these chairs, paint set and crayons are real boost for us and the kindergartens.”
