Nucleus Software, the leading provider of lending and transaction banking solutions to the global financial services industry, today announced its participation in the 7th Annual Retail Banking Africa 2015 event scheduled on 9th and 10th September 2015 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

At the event, Mr. Percy Thaver, Head & Vice President, Sales, Nucleus Software will speak on “Shaping The Future of Lending - Can Technology Be a Differentiator”. The focus of the session will be on the relevance of global trends in Retail Banking for Africa, how technology can help make the most of it and help financial institutions use mobile channel for better customer experience.

The 7th Annual Retail Banking Africa 2015 event is aimed at understanding the development of retail financial services across Sub-Saharan Africa and the emerging trends. The Summit will also help in identifying newer technologies that best fit banks in Africa and enhance customer experience and loyalty.

Commenting on the participation, Mr.  Percy Thaver said: “We are happy to be a part of this event as Africa is one of our key focus regions. The event will provide us with an opportunity to engage with local retail bankers and help financial institutions boost customer experience and satisfaction. Nucleus Software has operated in Africa for over a decade and serves more than 15 customers in the region and 150 worldwide.  At the event we will be sharing our global expertise on how technology can help financial institutions achieve efficient lending processes and beat the increasing threat from FinTech companies”.

According to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the African Development Bank and the United Nations Development Program, African economies will grow 4.5% in 2015 and 5% in 2016. The current trend indicates that the African economies will return to closely tracking emerging Asian ones as the world’s fastest-growing regions. Yet the retail banks face major challenges to deliver banking services region-wide besides maintaining the costs of extensive branch networks. Banking services are being dominated by the growing presence of payment solutions companies and mobile operators since they provide low-cost alternatives.

The event features sessions from prominent CEOs from Africa’s retail and commercial banking fraternity committed to building a sustainable and yet competitive retail banking environment.

Nucleus Software will demonstrate its complete product suite including FinnOne NeoTM, the latest version of its lending solution recently named the best-selling lending software in the world for the 7th year running.
