Mpilende Foods, a South African based company that specialises in the manufacturing of nutritional and basic food commodities that have been certified to be compliant with most of the international quality management and food production systems -whilst SADC Exporter Certified, has recently been certified also with the ISO9001: 2008 (SGS International) and FDA for their state of the art manufacturing facility based in Westmead-Pinetown.

The company also won the coverted “Best Youth Owned and Managed Business of the Year (20010) on the KZN - Economic Development Department (Umyezane Awards).

They are much energised and envision greater prospects in their quest to conquer Africa in Business, having been propelled by their winning of the Africa SMME of the Year (20009) on the Best New Business category.

According to the organisation’s Chairman (Mr Mfundo Thango), the company believes that they have a significant role to play in the Agri-processing industry, inorder to redress the effects of poverty, malnutrition, hunger and general food consumption, for a quantifiable role in the Food Security global challenge.
