[Kenya] Tourism Finance Corporation gets new managers

Tourism Finance Corporation has hired six managers to drive the parastatal’s reform agenda as the key foreign exchange earner tourism industry begins to recover.

Those appointed include Patricia Gachungi as head of procurement, Mary Njeri (corporation secretary), Emily Simiyu (head of audit) and Grace Ndegwa (senior internal auditor).

Others are Norman Mwangi as head of Finance and Mohamed Ahmed as chief public relations and communications officer.

Jonah Orumoi, the managing director of the agency, said the six were picked following competitive interviews by the board of directors.

“The new TFC management team will deliver to the tourism industry and Kenyans in general as they will also spearhead an increased sustainable funding model for the sector,” Orumoi said.
