[South Africa] Fiat Chrysler Automobiles announces major appointments to steer growth
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles South Africa has announced the appointment of the new Head of Sales Operations of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles South Africa (Pty) Ltd, importer of Fiat, Fiat Professional, Abarth, Alfa Romeo and Chrysler brands.
Jason Knight joined the company on the 9th April 2018.
Through a career of 16 years in the South African Automotive Industry, Knight has fulfilled a number of senior positions within Sales & Marketing at both OEM and Dealer Group level, including General Motors, Honda Motor Company, Groupe PSA (Citroën) and Barloworld Motor Group. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
Knight is passionate about the auto industry and gains great motivation from effecting real change and growth from the brands that he takes pride in moving forward.
Outside of the office, he is a keen sports fan with golf being the greatest love-hate relationship. Nature and photography are also highly valued, as well as a keen interest in all things electronic and technical.
Knight commented, “I am really excited to join the FCA Group and to work with such exciting brands, especially during such an interesting product cycle. 2018 is set to be an exciting year for our brands with product introductions like the Alfa Romeo Stelvio QV, the all new Jeep Compass and the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. I look forward to driving these exciting brands forward, to strengthening our position in the market place and to helping FCA achieve their long-term strategic goals.
The company has also appointed Lindelwa Mankayi as Treasury Manager for FCA SA. Mankayi started her career in 2003 on the VWSA Graduate Trainee Programme after graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting from the University of Stellenbosch.
In 2008 she relocated to the bright city lights of Johannesburg, joining Toyota Tsusho Africa as a Treasury Dealer. She later joined Total South Africa as a Treasury Analyst and worked her way up to the position of Treasury Manager with a dotted reporting line to the Treasury Team at Total head office in Paris.
