Kenya Airways signs full content agreement with Travelport

National carrier Kenya Airways and Travelport, the business services provider to the global travel industry, have today jointly announced a global, full content agreement for Galileo and Worldspan-connected users worldwide. This agreement will enable users to gain access to the Kenya Airways’ full inventory of flights and fares, including web fares.

The new 5-year agreement, which takes immediate effect, will provide all agents with access to the full fares and inventory of the Pride of Africa including its online fares. Kenya Airways, a full Skyteam member, has scheduled flights to 50 global destinations including an extensive network in Africa.

Kenya Airways Group Managing Director Dr Titus Naikuni said the extensive network that Travelport offers through its Galileo and Worldspan platforms, both within Africa and further afield would offer the airline exceptional access to the travel trade. “It is an important part of our overall distribution strategy and we are confident that Travelport’s global reach will propel our business forward and for that reason we have signed a long-term agreement”, he noted.

“Kenya Airways is a leading airline operating one of the largest fleets in Africa with significant expansion plans across the continent. We look forward to working closely with Kenya Airways as a strategic partner and providing our users with full content” said Mark Meehan, Managing Director for Travelport in Africa.
