Air Seychelles supports Feast of Assumption with extra flights

Air Seychelles has announced that it will operate 21 additional return flights between Mahé and Praslin in support of the Feast of Assumption taking place on La Digue.

 The Feast of Assumption is a Roman Catholic holiday that falls on 15 August and is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, who is the patron saint of the island of La Digue.

 The flights have been scheduled from Friday 14 to Monday 17 August, providing an additional 714 seats, to facilitate travel for residents and tourists wishing to attend the annual religious celebration.

 Roy Kinnear, Chief Executive Officer of Air Seychelles said: “The Feast of Assumption is an important cultural event in the national calendar that attracts hundreds of people every year.

“We are delighted to meet the high travel demand for the festival, especially from residents of Mahé, by operating 21 additional flights.

“These flights are quick, taking only 15 minutes on our modern Twin Otter aircraft, and have been conveniently timed for the mid to late afternoon on both days.”
