AIR NIGERIA COMMENCES DIRECT ENUGU – ABUJA AND OWERRI – ABUJA SERVICE

Air Nigeria has commenced direct daily flights from both Owerri and Enugu to Abuja, the nation’s capital city. The direct return services were introduced in response to the growing demand by the airline’s customers for direct flights to Abuja from these cities without having to fly through Lagos.
The launch of the direct flight operations from Owerri to Abuja and from Enugu to Abuja allows passengers to maximize their time by cutting out the transit time in Lagos which enables them to achieve more whether they’re traveling for business or pleasure. The development is in line with the airline’s mission to deliver superior travel experience to its teeming passengers.

Air Nigeria has since inception pioneered the introduction of innovative products which have earned the airline numerous international and national endorsements and recognition for offering services that are tailored to enhance passengers’ travel experience. Just recently, the airline was adjudged the “Airline of the Year 20100” at the Nigeria Aviation Awards (NIGAV), in recognition of outstanding contributions towards the development of the Nigerian aviation industry. Also, it was in 20100, named the Best Security Conscious Airline in West and Central Africa by Security Watch Africa for its strict adherence to prescribed aviation safety standards.

Also, Air Nigeria was adjudged Best Airline in Corporate Social Responsibility and Community Development at the CSR Nigeria award that held recently in Lagos.

Air Nigeria continues to make giant strides despite prevailing challenges in the local aviation sector. It recently announced plans to recommence flights to London Gatwick and other long-haul routes. Also, it would be recalled that Air Nigeria recently launched My Airmobile; the WAP version of the website which provides a simple and convenient option to making travel arrangements on the go from internet enabled mobile devices.

From its operational base at the Murtala Mohammed Airport, Lagos, the airline currently operates to Benin City, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Kano, Sokoto and Enugu on the domestic routes while on the regional routes, it operates to Brazzaville, Accra, Douala, Dakar, Monrovia, Cotonou, Banjul, Libreville and Abidjan. There are further plans to extend services to more African destinations, Europe, Asia and the Americas.
