[Startup Interview] Happy Koffi Djebou, Co-Founder, Afriscanlink I/S

Afriscanlink I/S is a consultancy firm based in Denmark that is positioning African businesses in the global marketplace while connecting African SMEs to international clients. Happy Koffi Djebou, one of the company’s co-founders, talked to Africa Business Communities about their approach.

Tell us a bit about your company?

Afriscanlink I/S is a business consulting company located in Copenhagen Denmark, with the mission of making business easy for foreign companies who are interested in the African market,

The company is made up of several consultants, with various experiences and vast network around the world and we work together to bring investors, technology and development to Africa

Where is the company located?

We are in Copenhagen Denmark

When was it founded?

Afriscanlink I/S came into existence in 2014 and was founded by Happy Koffi Djebou and Henry A. Olofin. The two passionate consultants and entrepreneurs decided to start the company due to their interest in developing Africa through cooperation and synergy.

What are your company's unique selling points?

We see ourselves as the business technicians when it comes to doing business in Africa by foreign businesses,

How has the market responded to your services?

The market is feeling the impact already due to the number of enquiries and interests we have been generating, importantly is the they are getting the message that, African consultants can help them do successful business in Africa

 Who are your clients?

We attend to all clients, from large to small scale businesses, however our major client pool is drawn from the medium to small scale companies

What are the ambitions of the company?

Common interest is getting our client’s product and services to Africa in a simple and transparent manner, avoiding all the usual bureaucracy and bottlenecks synonymous with such attempts in the past.

The common areas of interest are more in the West African and East African countries

What does your company need to grow and prosper?

We need the cooperation of government agencies and parastatals as we are already enjoying the cooperation and support of our local partner consultants. We also need the local companies who are potential targets for partnership to foreign companies to liaise with us on their long term plans so that we can work productively with them

What is the latest news?

I recently became the Youth Chief of Adansi Ayaase area of Ghana and we have established exclusive agreement for solar street lighting with $500.000.000 funding for Africa.

All foreign companies who are interested in African market likewise all African companies who are interested in expanding internationally. We work together with our clients to achieve success, they make informed decision based on our recommendations.
