Brenda Achere is Engagement Manager for Africa at MEDx eHealthCenter, a digital health solution headquartered in The Netherlands.

Please introduce your company.

MEDx eHealthCenter (also known as MEDxCare) is a global IT SAAS (Software As A Service) solution, being a multi-service digital Hospital platform, targeting the needs of HealthCare Seekers and HealthCare Providers in growth markets, to help balance demand and supply of healthcare services, through an efficient and streamlined Selfcare, ePrimary, eSecondary & eTertiary care powered by CASH TO HEALTH for those markets.

MEDx eHealthCenter is best described as a digital hospital, the first of its kind. An end-to-end, one-stop-shop covering a wide variety of healthcare services. These services are complementary to traditional healthcare services, allowing for even better outcomes.

Where is it located?

Our office headquarter is located at De Run 4630, 5504 DB Veldhoven, the Netherlands. We have partners and representatives in more than 10 emerging countries.

When was it founded and by who?

Founded in 2013 but registered in 2014 and registered as a BV in 2015. MEDx eHealthCenter also know as MEDxCare was founded by Patricia Monthe who is Founder and CEO and Laetitia Monthe who is Co-Founder and CPO.

How is the company funded?

MEDx eHealthCenter has been self funded from the first day until now by the Founder and Co-Founder. At the moment we are talking to potential investors.

What are your company’s Unique Selling Points?

We are the One stop shop to access all healthcare capabilities and resources at anytime from anywhere.
To Communities; we are the dedicated ecosystem enabling optimal healthcare management with customer intimacy. A community based platform connecting healthcare providers, healthcare seekers and families in an innovative(or digital) environment that enables access, acquisition and payment of healthcare services and healthcare resources globally.

To Care Providers, we are the safest place where they can list their care capabilities, earn money at very flexible working schedules and they can also get access to care resources for their own professional growth and improvement.

Finally to Care Seekers and Families, we provide easy access to worldwide care providers, resources and Personal & Family profiles as well as storing medical records and rating system provide information.

How has the market responded to your products/services?

The market shows huge interest in our services and though the commitment is somehow trending but consumers  understand and appreciate the benefits of each of our services and seem readier to accept digitalization than two years ago.

Who are your clients?

Business to Business clients are Care providers  and Medical/Healthcare Institutions (Hospitals, Labs and other care companies) and Business to Government clients are Ministries of Health needing digital health Consultancy and work.

What are the ambitions of the company?

We are an International Company with Target African Countries Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Senegal, DR Congo, Ethiopia, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Morocco, Guinea.

What does your company need to grow and prosper?

Connections and networking with the Government of our target countries especially the Ministries of Health. 2. Connecting us to Potential Investors and Investment companies.

What is the latest news from your company?

Singaporean based Healthcode featured MEDx ‘’The Digital Hospital for data-driven care across borders’’. We are also conducting a pilot in Uganda and Togo. And we won second place as the most innovative startup at Viva Technology Paris 2017.
