[Interview] Elton Mutize, CEO Paradigm, Uganda

Elton Mutize is  a coach and consulting expert with progressive 14 years’ experience working in Financial Services, Property, Media, Manufacturing, FMCG, Internet of Things (IoT) and Management Consulting sectors in an Executive and Consulting capacity. He is the Founder and CEO of Paradigm, Uganda.

Could you introduce your company?

Paradigm is a consulting and training practice focused on unlocking the greatness in people and organizations to enable them to achieve quantum leap results. Paradigm is the operator and owner of VentureLabs, a co-working and event space in Kampala with a mission to become the preferred co-working space brand in sub-saharan africa.

Where is Paradigm located?

Plot 7 Binayomba Road, Bugolobi, Kampala, Uganda.

When was it founded and by who?

VentureLabs was founded by Greg Murray and Sagun Saxena in 2015 and Paradigm took over the operations of VentureLabs in December 2017. I founded Paradigm in 2015.
 

Who are your clients?

Open Capital Advisors, Enbur Engineering, BSpace, TruTrade, KOKO Networks, Aggrey & Clifford, InterVAS, W. Giertsen Energy Solutions, Aredah Ventures, Gigify Solutions, 5 Miles and Braille Press Limited.

What are your company’s Unique Selling Points?

We've got a great outdoor working space and high speed internet. we offer free coffee and tea to members and visitors andpride ourselves on a very satisfactory client service experience.

How has the Ugandan/East African Market responded to Paradigm's services?

Very well. Our single location has got high occupancy levels, which is why we have started discussing the expansion thrust to other locations and using Kampala as a model.

What are the ambitions of the company?

We're looking into expansion this year, specifically to acquire a second space in Kampala then Kigali and Harare.

What does Paradigm need to grow and prosper?

Equity financing and human resources capacity.
