In continuation of the series of webinars that has been ongoing throughout the year, the African Business Roundtable and the African Import Export Bank (Afreximbank) are set to hold yet another webinar on capacity building and investor preparation.

ABOUT THE EVENT

The Project Preparation Masterclass will discuss how client/transaction/project preparation processes and techniques were applied to transform a loss-making institution into one of Africa's most attractive and profitable operations.

We will demonstrate how good project/transaction preparation practices can change investors'/donors' perception of risk and how this translates into a reduction in pricing from 12% to less than 5%.

This session will outline the context and rationale for the series of transactions over a decade. It will discuss how investor/lender interest was fueled and maintained. We will delve into the various mechanisms of deal structuring, deal negotiation and key selling points that we applied to generate lender interest, leading to the over-subscription of a transaction that, until now, had struggled to gain attention.
