Zeepay Ghana Limited wins Best company at the Ghana Club 100 awards

Zeepay, one of Africa’s leading and fast-growing fintech companies in Mobile Financial Services, was awarded the best company in Ghana at the 19th edition of the Ghana Club 100 Awards in Accra.

The keynote address was delivered by Senior Presidential Advisor Yaw Osafo-Maafo, who reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting the growth of the private sector to promote the country’s development.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Yoofi Grant, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority said, “With global trade and supply chain networks hindered and other measures rendering the norm of business operations obsolete, a paradigm shift emerged, with companies resorting to technology and innovation for continuity of business operations.”
This award comes on the back of outstanding works done by Zeepay, metamorphosing from a major global remittance aggregator company to a comprehensive financial technology company that undertakes mobile money services, and money transfer services straight to mobile wallets across Africa.

This further cement its brand’s position as a leading player in the ever-expanding financial technology sector. Verdant Capital is currently advising Zeepay on a USD 10 million equity capital raise.

The GC100 event was first held in March 1998. The event remains one of the flagship programs of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, GIPC. It is aimed at introducing a system of ranking the top 100 companies in Ghana while encouraging and nurturing the private sector to develop and grow to compete internationally.
