[Sierra Leonne] Orange Digital Center launches Smart Klin

Orange Digital Center houses four strategic programs under the same roof: the coding school, the FabLab Solidaire, Orange Fab and Orange Digital Ventures Africa. This network of free and inclusive resources support local start-ups and projects using digital technology and they are being rolled out across the Middle East and Africa.

 Orange Digital Center introduced Smart-Klin which is  waste disposal and detection company that uses Sensor Smart Waste Collection(SWC) system to identify status of waste bins and detect the percentages of waste. 

Real time Smart Waste Collection(SWC) system by using smart dustbins to check the fill level of dustbins, through this system the information of all smart dustbins can be accessed from anywhere and anytime by the concern person. 

In case of lack of internet there will be another option of SMS alerts through Orange network. It will also send alerts for the installation of additional bins. Report will be generated automatically on a single click which are shared via email and SMS.

There is an lot of need for this kind of project in Sierra Leone. It will stop the overflowing of dustbins along roadsides and localities as smart bins are managed in real time. It also aims at creating a clean as well as green environment. By using the route algorithm it will smartly find the shortest route & send optimized routes directly to drivers. 

It will also reduce fuel consumption and the less amount of fuel consumed by vehicles can save a large amount of money as well!
