Kenyan startup Marketforce appoints Ore Omolaja as Country Manager, Head of Business for Nigeria
Marketforce, the Kenyan-based B2B platform for retail distribution of consumer goods and digital financial services in Africa, announced the appointment of Ore Omolaja as the Nigeria Country Manager and Head of Business, effective 15th July 2021.
Ore will lead the expansion of MarketForce into Nigeria, including brand and team building, developing new business and partnerships and creating a solid foundation to scale our solutions in the West African region.
Additionally, he will be driving day-to-day operations in Nigeria to pursue our mission of building the most comprehensive retail sales and distribution platform for Africa, through growing our innovation in the retail distribution sector and creating impact for the millions of informal merchants in Nigeria and West Africa.
Ore is a seasoned business development professional and sales leader with over a decade of experience gained in the technology industry focused on areas of B2B sales, logistics operations, identity management, smartcard and payments. He had the opportunity to build and work with result-driven teams focused on growing revenue and delighting customers across various capacities at Chams Plc, Electronic Payplus, and Fieldinsight in Nigeria.
Most recently, he served as the VP of Sales and Distribution at Delivery Science, a sales and distribution automation player in Nigeria, with its proprietary software FieldInsight. Delivery Science helps consumer goods companies gain insight into smarter deployment of their people, assets and products out in the field, just like MarketForce’s Enterprise SaaS solution.
On his appointment, Ore said, “It’s very exciting to be joining MarketForce and I’m delighted to become a part of this driven and innovative team. Tesh and the team have built a great foundation in Kenya and I am looking forward to spearheading our entry into Nigeria. MarketForce’s mission is to help our customers harness the power and scale of technology to realize their maximum potential, and it is a privilege for me to help consumer brands, financial service providers and retailers in Nigeria leverage our platform to accelerate the growth of their business.”
