[Kenya] Finsbury Trading bets on SAP Business One to boost operations
Finsbury Trading Limited was started in 1996, originally operating from Mombasa and then Nairobi to provide countrywide distribution for top brands from Dabur, Unilever, Henkel, Bidco, Kenafric, and Gold Crown Beverages among other large FMCG companies/brands.
Over the years the company has expanded from 15,000 sq ft to over 40,000 sq ft in warehousing to support business operations.
With the previous system, the company struggled with interbranch and regional reporting, order processing, and visibility, as well as business controls and approvals.
SAP has a proven industry solution, with innovation and advancements within the solution for Finsbury's future needs. The company also says that SEIDOR gives it the support it needs and created a solution fit for its current business.
“We now have better visibility into Inventory management for greater capital deployment; 10% value accuracy with landed costs. We have more efficient financial management – periodical accounting (books closure) and reporting down to 5 days from 2 weeks. Our order processing has increased per day by 15% while reducing customer management – collection delinquency by 15%,” said the company in a statement.
Real-time data and an open system allow for integration with excel and 3rd party.
