Watermark Learning Launches Training Programs in South Africa
Watermark Learning, a leading worldwide provider of Business Analysis, Project Management, and Business Process Management training, launched courses in Business Analysis, Project Management, and Influencing Skills in South Africa earlier this August. The courses were offered in conjunction with Faculty Training Institute (FTI), the foremost Business Analysis and Project Management training provider in South Africa.
The first courses to be offered were a workshop for those preparing for the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) designation along with one of Watermark Learning’s best-selling courses, Business Analysis Fundamentals. The CBAP Workshop was offered August 3-5 and Business Analysis Fundamentals was offered August 3-5, both in Johannesburg.
“All of the courses exceeded expectations,” said Richard Larson, CBAP, PMP, President of Watermark Learning. “The CBAP Workshops managed to accommodate overflow groups of participants, while the BA Fundamentals class was filled to capacity.”
“Watermark Learning is pleased to partner with FTI to offer this training, the first of its kind in South Africa,” Larson added. “The CBAP prep course is designed for experienced business analysts who qualify to sit for the CBAP exam, and who wish to successfully pass the exam on their first attempt,” he added. “It will also help CCBA™ candidates pass the CCBA exam on the first try,” he noted.
“As interest in CBAP certification has grown, so too has the availability of both online and instructor-led courses. We are proud to be affiliated with market leader Watermark Learning in offering this course for the first time in South Africa,” said Steve Erlank, Managing Director of FTI.
The CBAP Preparation workshops were led by Richard Larson, who was among the first to be certified with the CBAP designation. Larson has over 30 years of experience in business analysis, project management, training, and consulting.
Business analysts also attended a course on Business Analysis Fundamentals, monitored by Elizabeth Larson, CBAP, PMP, CSM. Participants of all skill levels learned the core skills and knowledge to be an effective business analyst.
Elizabeth Larson, CEO of Watermark Learning, has over 25 years of project management and business analysis experience. Elizabeth and Richard Larson have presented numerous workshops, seminars, and training classes to thousands of participants on three different continents.
“Today, employers are looking for more than just job expertise—they need problem solvers—highly-performing professionals with the practical know-how to solve problems and create enduring results,” said Elizabeth Larson.
The Watermark Learning CBAP Certification Preparation Workshop is recommended for business analysts who have already submitted an application to write the exam and who intend to sit for the exam in the next few months. The course comes bundled with a variety of study aids, sample exam questions, and support, which improves the chances of exam prospects successfully passing the exam on their first attempt. It includes a comprehensive 400-plus page preparation study guide with tips and techniques and a free 90-day subscription to the Watermark Learning CBAP study exam simulator.
“FTI is thrilled at the opportunity to be able to host Richard and Elizabeth Larson in South Africa as both are able to share such a vast and authoritative knowledge on business analysis,” said Erlank.
