[South Africa] Mickey Mashale appointed Chief Sales Officer for Vodacom Business
Telecommunication company Vodacom has announced the appointment of Mickey Mashale as Chief Sales Officer for Vodacom Business effective 1st February 2018.
Mickey was previously the Managing Executive & Head of Region for Vodafone Global Enterprise and was responsible for strategy, revenue retention, growth and expansion of Vodafone customers, for the Sub-Saharan Africa Region.
With the appointment of Mickey and other key Vodacom Business appointments, Vodacom aims to prepare and lead local businesses into the digital future.
Chief Officer for Human Resources Vodacom Group, Matimba Mbungela said: “Mickey brings valuable experience and skills to her new role. As an internal appointment, Mickey is well versed on our business.
She joined Vodacom in 2012 as Executive Head of Department for Network Operations and has over 20 years’ experience in the ICT Industry.”
Mickey will oversee Vodacom Business strategy across Africa for sales, revenue growth and customer partnerships. She will work closely with enterprise business counterparts in Vodacom's operations to provide support and help ensure a successful implementation of the value propositions.
Mickey is a member of the IoDSA (International Institute of Directors South Africa) and sits on the Board of Stortech, one of the leading System Integrators in SA as well as being responsible for the Vodacom Group Enterprise BU Strategic Partners GTM & Joint Propositions Delivery.
Mickey previously held the position of Managing Executive of Public Enterprises for Vodacom Enterprise Business Unit.
Mickey is an MBA Graduate from Wits Business School, she graduated from the University of Natal with a Bachelor of Science; she also obtained a number of diplomas in Telecommunications & Marketing ding Wits Business School; P&DM, Institute of Marketing Management, AAA School of Advertising and Varsity College.
