[South Africa] Mars Consumer Products Africa awards DHL warehousing and distribution contract
Mars Africa, the South African-based division of Mars Incorporated, a global family-owned food business, and DHL Supply Chain South Africa, the world's largest contract logistics company, have signed a contract that will see DHL providing warehousing and distribution services for a number of Mars products.
The portfolio includes some of South Africa's best known household brands across categories including food, gum & confectionery, and pet care - such as Royco®, M&M's®, Airwaves®, Orbit®, Skittles® Snickers®, Twix®, Mars®, Pedigree® and Whiskas®.

DHL Supply Chain South Africa is able to meet Mars' requirements by utilising its extensive multi-user network across the country. Distribution will take place from stock holding points situated in the major cities through DHL's existing primary, secondary, and cross docked networks with transshipment depots servicing outlying areas as required.
