Sky.Garden partners with Interswitch to launch Instant mobile money seller payment options for its vendors
eCommerce company Sky.Garden has made groundbreaking implementations to its payments module to ensure real-time payments to their sellers after signing a deal with digital payments firm Interswitch.
The deal will improve speed and accuracy of mobile money payments and allow seamless cash flow management and comes months after the firm raised $1.2m to fuel product development and expansion.

Today’s customer expects speed of delivery especially when it comes to their funds and we are committed to helping our partners achieve this goal.”
The new integration will also allow the 3,500+ sellers on the platform to receive the funds through their preferred mode which could be bank or Mobile Wallet.Available to Sky.Garden does not require stocking of products in a centralized warehouse. Sky.Garden does deliveries directly from the seller’s shop to the customer’s home or office. This ensures that deliveries are handled within a 24 hours within Nairobi, and 48 hours for the rest of Kenya.
Founded in September 2015 by Christian Grubak and Martin Majlund, Sky.Garden saw its first transaction in May 2017. To date, it has signed up 3,500+ unique webshops, a 60% month over month growth in revenue since launch.
The firm was also 1 of 12 startups to participate in the Katapult Accelerator in Oslo from August to October 2017 in a field of 1,000+ applicants and was selected as “Most Promising African Startup 2017 – NABA” in November 2017.
