Partnerships key to management solution service provision into Africa - Accsys

From a service provision point of view partnerships are critical to establishing presence and ensuring successful service delivery in Africa.

This is the foundation principle upon which Accsys management bases its approach to service delivery within the continent.

Accsys is a national supplier of management solutions within HR, payroll administration, time & attendance and member of the Business Connexion Group (BCX).

The company has presence in thirteen countries throughout Africa. It extends HR services, including time & attendance and access control, to clients via an established network of reseller partners.

Teryl Schroenn, CEO at Accsys, says there is a strong demand from business decision makers and operators in Africa for technology that helps them manage the HR aspect of their businesses.

As is the case in South Africa, HR is gaining momentum throughout the continent as businesses continue to look to IT systems and infrastructure to improve operational efficiency.

“We have noted an increase in a demand for- and interest in solutions that offer the benefits of management using a single database system. Streamlining and consolidation means that operations are more efficient and the structure of the business is more solid. Other benefits include a reduction in data volumes and managed growth within the organisation,” says Schroenn.

The company refers to the growth of telecommunications and increasing investment in infrastructure and management systems as evidence of the significant opportunity to address market requirements in developing economies.

Aspects such as unified communications, virtualisation and cloud-based services continue to influence ICT take-up and application.

Management at Accsys says its position as a subsidiary of the BCX Group reinforces the company’s overall credibility and strengthens the opportunity to engage with resellers and take advantage of growth markets.

Schroenn acknowledges that there are challenges to the creation of a sustainable operation network in Africa. Issues such as cost, available resources, infrastructure, connectivity and skills have to be taken into consideration.

“This is why partnerships play such an integral role in any strategy to engage clients in Africa,” she adds.

Accsys will continue to strengthen its foothold in Africa, with a focus on the supply of HR systems and functionality associated with its software and service

The objective is to strengthen existing partnerships with resellers and, at the same time, seek to establish new working relationships with prospective partners.

Rodwell Zvarayi, Group Executive: International at BCX, says Accsys technology has proven value for businesses from entry level to large enterprises.

“It supports mission-critical trends, such as cloud-based services and unified communications, and we believe it will add value to the Business Connexion offering into Africa and beyond,” says Zvarayi.
