PA Resources Sees West African Production Drop

PA Resources saw a drop in its production totals out of Africa for November according to its most recent production report. The drop came out of its West Africa production where it averaged 5,700 bpd year-to-date, but only 4,800 bpd for the month of November. The company did however see a slight rise in its production totals in North Africa.

The company said that its share of production from the Republic of Congo’s (ROC) Azurite field averaged 3,800 bpd, lower than expected due to slow production recovery following two brief, unplanned production shut-downs at the end of October and mid-November. Production has been restored close to earlier levels.

Operations on the plug and abandonment operation of the failed production well in the ROC have been protracted due to technical issues but it is anticipated that removal of the existing production tubing will shortly commence to allow the new sidetrack well to be drilled.
