Oba of Benin hosts Air Nigeria’s team in his Palace

The Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Erediauwa formally hosted Air Nigeria’s management team in his Palace in Benin City during a courtesy visit to intimate him of the operations of the airline especially on the Benin – Lagos route.

While welcoming the team to the Palace, the Oba of Benin noted that the presence of Air Nigeria on the Benin – Lagos route is a healthy development that will ultimately improve air transportation between both cities.

His Royal Majesty in his goodwill message, said he was aware of the positive strides which the Chairman of the Airline, Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim, has brought to bear in the polity and wished the airline success in its operations.

Chief Executive Officer of Air Nigeria, Mr. Kinfe Kahssaye while intimating the Oba of ongoing turn-around initiatives of the airline, said that the choice of re-launching flights to Benin City was premised on the strategic location of the state as a major gateway to several cities that contribute enormous wealth to the earnings of the nation as well as its historical place in the history of Nigeria.

While expressing gratitude to the Oba for his role in making Edo State a safe haven for business concerns, Mr. Kinfe assured of Air Nigeria’s commitment to continually uphold best practices in the aviation industry by adhering to prescribed safety regulations as well as introducing innovating products to ease travel convenience.

He further noted that aside from operating direct flights between Benin and Lagos, Air Nigeria is considering the introduction of flights to Abuja in the months ahead, to further offer passengers ease of onward connections across its network that spreads beyond domestic and regional routes through its interline and code-share airline partners.
