[Morocco] Royal Air Maroc awarded for its operational and financial performance

Morocco's flag carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) won two prizes as the best company in the "Global Operations" and "Best improved financial results" awarded by the African Airlines Association (AFRAA), on the sidelines of its 51st annual general meeting hero in Mauritius.

These awards reflect the momentum initiated by the national company both operationally and financially in 2018, RAM said in a statement.

"We are extremely proud of this international recognition, especially since the jury is composed of professionals from the air transport sector who are able to measure the extent of our efforts and performance in terms of services benefiting our customers, as well as in the financial field said RAM CEO Hamid Addou, quoted in the statement.

This distinction, he went on to say, "also encourages us to redouble our efforts to achieve an African single market in air transport that will make it possible to remove barriers of protectionism in order to achieve a growth in air traffic on our continent, driven mainly by African airlines and in the interests of the economies of our countries and our fellow citizens ".

AFRAA is a trade association of airlines that hail from Africa. Founded in Accra in 1968 and headquartered in Nairobi, the main purpose of AFRAA is to establish and facilitate cooperation between African airlines.
