Meridian Marshalls lists on Ghana Stock Exchange

As part of Marshalls pursuit to become the Ivy League university in the next 10 years, these three educational institutions namely; Meridian Pre-University, Marshalls and High Point Academy has been grouped under the umbrella of Meridian-Marshalls Holding (MMH), creating a very dominant and ideal educational synergy, the first of its kind, to be listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE). MMH brings on to the Digital Board of the GSE a wide spectrum of educational investment from the Post-Secondary, to Diploma and to the Degree Levels.

The initiative of Meridian-Marshalls Holding to list on the Ghana Stock Exchange received a very major boost on the 16th of January 2014 when the management of the Ghana Stock Exchange at its Performance Review Session of the year 2013 made mention of the progress Meridian-Marshalls Holding has made toward listing on the Ghana Alternative Exchange (GAX), the platform for New Market dedicated for small and medium size companies and start-ups.

Meridian-Marshalls Holdings is a forward-looking diversified provider of career-oriented post-senior secondary school education in Ghana. It is incorporated under the Companies Code, 1963 (Act 179) as a Public Limited Liability Company.

Marshalls is a tertiary educational initiative of Meridian Pre-University (MPU) (the nation’s premier pre-university), a diploma awarding institute established on the 1st August 2007. Marshalls has been accredited by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) to operate as a tertiary institution and is affiliated with the University of Cape Coast (UCC) as a mentoring institution. Again, Marshalls is governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana and the Board of Directors ably chaired by Prof. D.E.K Amenumey.

Though Marshalls had accreditation in September 2012, we started academic work on the 24th of September 2013 and already has students in the following schools; the J.S. Addo Business School, the School of Arts and Social Sciences, the  School of Modern Languages and the School of Technology.

The J.S. Addo Business School offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Banking and Finance Management, Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, and Accounting Management.

The School of Arts and Social Sciences offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Hospitality Management and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management.

The School of Modern Languages has on offer Bachelor of Arts in English and in French.

The fourth School - the School of Technology- has accreditation from the educational wings of Microsoft - Certiport and Microsoft Infromation Technology Academy - to run all the Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional Programmes leading to the award of 4-year Professional Certificates in Computer Engineering, Support Technician, Systems Administration, among others.
