Kenya Airways Supports School within the Eselenkei Group Ranch

As part of its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, Kenya Airways has donated desks to Iloirero Primary school within Amboseli National Park in Kajiado District.

The primary school which is located within the Eselenkei group ranch received 70 desks at a cost of Ksh 215,000 from the airline.

The school is located next to the Selenkay Conservancy run by the Gamewatchers Safaris and has a population of 350 students, 74 of whom are in nursery while the rest in primary. It has 6 built up classrooms to accommodate the students.

“The donation of desks aims to ensure that students have better facilities and a conducive learning environment which is part of the sustainable development in this country,” said Kenya Airways Group Human Resources Director Paul Kasimu during the handing over ceremony.

Mr. Kasimu added that the airline was giving back to the community by investing in education which was key to poverty eradication.

Kenya Airways supports selected projects within communities in the countries within its network specifically focusing on education, environment and water.

Among the education programs that Kenya Airways has supported include the “education for all Campaign” which saw Zambian students fly to Nairobi from Lusaka for an education exchange programme.
