Iraq Exports First Shipment of Crude Oil to Egypt
The ministry of oil has declared the exportation of the first shipment of crude oil, which was two million barrels to Egypt through the southern ports.
Mr. Assim Jihad, the spokesman of the ministry, said that the shipping process of crude oil to the tanker ship started at the 3rd of May, and the shipment was two million barrels which is a part of the total quantity of 12 million barrels.
Mr. Jihad said also that this process is a part of the agreement between Iraq and Egypt which requires Iraq to supply Egypt with 12 million barrels "at 2 million barrels per month".
It is trustworthy to say that Iraq has signed an agreement with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation two weeks ago to export 12 million barrels of the Basrah light crude oil.
