Egypt, China mull new investment in manufacture of electric cars
Egypt Public Businesses Minister Hisham Tawfiq has held discussions with Chinese Industry and Information Technology Minister Miao Wei on cooperation in manufacturing electric cars through developing El Nasr Automotive company and the Engineering Company for Car Industry, the Public Businesses Ministry said in a statement.
The two companies have many privileges, including good-conditioned production lines and the possession of appropriate infrastructure, equipment and necessary licences, the minister said during the meeting that came as part of his visit of his official visit to Beijing.
Talks also tackled the progress of the Egyptian economy in light of the latest economic reforms and incentives given to investors to pump their money into the Egyptian market.
The Chinese Minister welcomed enhancing cooperation with the Egyptian side. He underlined the importance of providing an appropriate infrastructure to manufacture electric cars.
