CAL Bank winners of Best Bank Trade Finance and Best Bank Long Term Loans

At the 10th edition of the Ghana Banking Awards, Ghana’s leading independent bank came up tops in a number of categories. The bank’s operations in the 2010, showed a formidable performance even though there was a general difficulty across the banking industry.

CAL Bank picked up the Best Bank in Long-Term Loan Financing, Best Bank Trade Finance, 1st Runner-up Short Term Loan Financing, 1st Runner-up Product Innovation, 1st Runner Up - Medium Term Loan Financing, 2nd Runner Up - Corporate Banking.

Decisions on the awards, are based on survey of views and opinions of customers of participating banks and other data gathered from the banks and the industry as a whole. KPMG has been responsible for authenticating the data, analyzing and determining which banks deserves to be awarded.

Speaking after the event, the Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Mr. Philip Owiredu, dedicated the awards to the customers of the bank. In his statement, he said ‘We have over the years built solid partnerships with our clients who give us a reason to come to work daily. This partnership has given CAL Bank the opportunity to provide a myriad of superior banking solutions that together goes to improve Ghana as a country. So if we are being recognized by our peers and the industry, we can only say Thank You to our customers who have made it possible for us to prove ourselves”.

In addition, he commended the staff of the bank who have worked tirelessly in propelling the bank to achieve the awards. He further urged staff to work harder to claim the overall Best Bank award in the coming year.
