Bollore Transport & Logistics plan boosts Cote d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso mango exports

For the 2020 crop year, the operational teams of Bolloré Transport & Logistics have processed 10,575 tonnes, or 940 TEU, of mangos via air and maritime transport.

A partner of the mango industry, Bolloré Transport & Logistics guarantees the cold chain, right from the packing phase in hard-to-access production zones, through its logistics platforms located in Côte d’Ivoire (Bouaké, Ferké and Korhogo), Burkina Faso (Bobo-Dioulasso) and Mali (Sikasso and Bamako). Controls are carried out regularly to ensure that the temperature is maintained throughout the transport.

Once the mangos arrive at the Port of Abidjan or at the airports of Abidjan or Ouagadougou, the refrigerated containers are stored and connected to power in special areas pending their shipment to Europe through partnerships formed with ship owners and airline companies.

In response to the supply constraints stemming from the impacts of COVID-19, Bolloré Transport & Logistics has implemented an alternative transport plan to ship mango products from Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso and Mali to European markets.

In addition to existing maritime solutions, the company has also chartered three flights having transported 90 tonnes of mangos to Europe from the airports of Abidjan and Ouagadougou.
