Arab Organization for Industrialization inks contract to establish $8 million solar energy station in Eritrea
Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) Abdel Monem el Taras has asserted the importance of supporting all development projects in Africa in the light of the strategy of the state to be open to Africa and the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to open new horizons of cooperation and integration to achieve the aspirations of the African peoples.
This came during a ceremony to ink a contract to establish a solar energy station in Eritrea with a total cost of $8 million in cooperation with the Ministry of Electricity and the New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA).
The AOI sets all the potentials and the technical and technological expertise to serve Africa and support renewable energy within the framework the Egyptian Initiative for Developing Nile Basin Countries, Taras said.
Taras pointed out to the keenness of the AOI on exchanging expertise and training technical labor in Eritrea on the maintenance work and continuous follow up of the solar energy station that will be established.
Executive Chairman of NREA Mohammed el Khayat lauded the industrial capabilities of the production lines of the AOI using solar panels.
