Abidjan Terminal gets four container gantry cranes to boost efficiency

In order to increase the operational capacity of Abidjan’s container terminal, four new gantry cranes (RTG) were put into service. These new modern equipment will help improve the port of Abidjan development.

Over the past few days, four new RTG have been introduced on Abidjan Terminal. In addition to the existing 16 container gantry cranes, those new equipment will strengthen the attractiveness of Abidjan’s container terminal.

They will increase the rotation of the containers on the park and thus reduce the duration of the logistics loop. With an investment of more than 4 billion FCFA, Abidjan Terminal, concession of Bolloré Ports, makes a significant contribution to help increase the volumes of full containers processed in the Port of Abidjan. Which is the main gateway for trade in Côte d'Ivoire and the countries of the hinterland, like Burkina Faso, Mali.

Bolloré Transport & Logistics continues to reaffirm its commitment and its confidence in the economic growth of the country. Its goal is to make Côte d'Ivoire a port reference on the West African coast.
