5 vital secrets of successful brand communicators

Those who do know understand success is not magic. It is based on progressive achievement of laid down goals. They have demonstrated and proven that a strong determination to excel is stronger than the will to blend in. We were examining great people like Seth Godin and Chris Brogan yesterday in a group discussion. Many were wondering why they got results many do not get. We took time to watch some of their speaking engagements and we find out they were ‘sharing stuffs that are not out of this world’ in the real sense of it. So to some of the group members why are they extra- ordinary?
Success principles appear to be common but the tragedy of life is that common sense is not that common. Many people do not go the extra miles successful people had gone. My conclusions as the lead discussant in this informal group are outlined below:
You are no bigger than the things that annoy you. Many successful leaders and brand communicators have something that annoys them. Unlike all other people around the world, they take action. They strive to conquer whatever that annoys them by proffering solution. Why many are complaining about the system and what annoys them, most successful brand communicators will not stop at identifying the problem. To excel, each professional needs to find a calling they love, identify the major challenges in what you love. With that you do not need a job. You are already on the way to stardom.
Provide solution: One other vital secret of great brand communicator is that they are always looking for solutions which can ease the tension around the industry. Many people never stop complaining about their brand, industry challenges. They are really good at seeing what is not working. For most professionals, that is where it ends. But successful brand communicators know that the challenges they solve are responsible for hundred percent of their incomes.
Learn how to handle criticism: At any level, you will never run short of criticism. Even a failure is often rebuffed for failing. So why not learn how to positively handle criticism. Great brand communication professionals do know that when you go in search of honey, expect to be stung by bees. They do know those who want to make meaningful changes will make more enemies initially. Examine great people in your industry and just take a cursory look at soft sells in the nation; lots of gossip, criticism is associated with them.
Learn to scan for new ideas: Great people understand the power of ideas. Many had lost precious opportunities because they would not take up the ideas they have or others shared with them. Successful brand communicators know that no bird soars high if it only flies with its own wing
They are visionary: The man who follows the crowd will usually get no further than the crowd. Many successful professionals today are visionary. They see the future before it arrives. Imagines many who used to say internet would not fly within business environment. Those who used to say social marketing is a fad that would soon go away. The man who walks alone is likely to find himself in places no one has ever been. Following the crowd sometimes do not add value. What do you think? Share your experience.
