Can you please introduce Green Telecom to us?

Green Telecom Limited is a Tanzanian company based and operating in Tanzania. Green Telecom is a fast growing innovative telecom solutions company providing a whole range of interactive solutions. We partner with clients from the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors in all regions to identify their highest-value opportunities, address their most critical challenges, and transform their enterprises. Our methodologies and techniques are very simple and grounded in best practices, and we take pride in working closely with organizations to transfer knowledge and build capabilities.

Green Telecom was founded exactly one year ago. How did your company do in the first year?

Our company have performed exceptionally well in the first year. In a competitive market sphere of Tanzania we have managed to establish ourselves as one of the leading innovative telecom solution providing company. Our first year includes a lot of up and downs but summation gives us a positive value.

Which clients - or what sort of clients – does Green Telecom work for?

Green Telecom have mostly served telecommunication related companies, a few major include but not limited to Airtel, Vodacom, Tigo, Zantel and Echo Mobile.

How does Green Telecom distinguish itself from the competition?

Green Telecom has a unique strategy to distinguish ourselves from the competition, being the young team of people our main focus stays on research and development which gives us a competitive edge to sustain in the market.

What is your vision on the development of EAC Common market? Is it important for the development of the ICT Industry?

Common market always allows more number of opportunities to do trade amongst 5 different countries in the community. Developments of EAC common market will definitely going to be an advantage to the existing and new business houses allowing them to reach to a bigger market segment for the product consumption. Yes, it is very important for the development of the ICT industry as we currently lack IT systems in the region.

What can the Tanzania Government do in order to help improving business environment?

Decrement in the professional taxes and security to the businesses will be a big relief for the business houses along with ease and transparency in the taxation policy will be a big progress toward a healthy business environment.

What is your vision on the development of the Tanzania Economy in 2015?

Tanzanian economy is progressing every year and we are hoping that government will focus more on easing the communication policies, so that more people get benefitted.

What is the latest news?

Green Telecom is developing low cost solutions in the field of communication from developing low end high performance based mobile devices to telecom solutions enabling people to reach consumers.
