VIAVI and Westcon extend network solutions partnership to Africa
Global provider of network test, monitoring and assurance solutions VIAVI Solutions and Westcon-Comstor have announced the extension of their partnership to Africa, Middle East and Europe.
Westcon Unified Communications and Collaboration has added the VIAVI Observer Platform to its portfolio for resellers of unified communications (UC), networking and collaboration solutions. The platform is a full-service IT solution for deploying, managing and optimizing application and network performance.
UC is not a new technology, yet due to its bandwidth-intensive nature and minimal latency thresholds, enterprise network teams still struggle to ensure performance and optimal end-user experience. Forty percent of respondents to VIAVI's 2017 State of the Network study said they lacked visibility into the quality of user experience, bandwidth utilization, or complete session detail for UC technologies. Thirty-six percent said they were unable to assess impact of UC deployments on other applications.
