US trade mission to Cameroon
Praxis Management Advisors, LLC (PMA) will co-host a business delegation for an exploratory visit to Cameroon from July 22nd to August 2nd, 2011. PMA’s co-hosts will be Victor Anjeh of CERI (Center for Entrepreneurship, Research & Innovation) at the University Institute Diocese of Buea, (UIDB) Cameroon, and Nicholas Achiri Asangwe, an Investment Banker and Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce of Cameroon.
Mr. Asangwe is also Managing Principal of EXTRAPROS - a management and logistics consulting firm based in Douala and member-company of the Chamber. This highly orchestrated trip is aimed at U.S. corporations and entrepreneurs with an interest in African expansion and partnership with Cameroonian businesses.
Meetings have been confirmed with top leaders from the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Education, Presidents of major banks, the Chancellor and senior faculty at UIDB, the Ministry of Telecommunications, and leading land and infrastructure developers. Cameroon has committed more than $900 million in energy, technology and infrastructure projects over the next 2 years making it an important export market for U.S. technologies, goods and services.
“Cameroon is experiencing the same surge in growth and development as the rest of Africa. The need to service the growing middle class and the available liquidity is driving the urgency to identify potential partners in both the public and private sectors that are excited to consider American products and technologies,” said Llewellyn, Managing Partner of PAM. “The timing is right to introduce American entrepreneurs, innovators and leaders to a market that has not been on their radar before now.”
Victor Anjeh commented, "Nicholas Asangwe and I are always energized by the enthusiasm of leaders we take from the USA to Cameroon. The opportunity to put our U.S. partners in front of influential decision makers and secure confirmed business engagements for them is very rewarding.” The goal of this trip is to fast-track business partnerships and advance President Obama’s National Export Initiative which aims to double U.S. exports within five years.
