Total Ghana to facilitate three startups with GHC160, 000

Total Petroleum Ghana Limited has announced a seed capital of 160,000 cedis to support three viable Ghanaian startups grow their businesses.

These startups will be selected from some ten businesses that are to take part in Total’s start-upper contest.

It is opened to young entrepreneurs between 18 and 35 with a new start up within two years or a viable business plan.

Managing Director of Total Ghana Oliver Van Parys in an interview with Starr Business said the initiative is aimed at growing entrepreneurs and address youth unemployment in the country.

Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Ghana Industries Seth Twum Akwaboah told Starr Business News that he was excited about the initiative.

“I think it is a very good initiative because entrepreneurship today is very critical to our development,” Mr. Akwaboah said.

The initiative will reward the final three selected startups with the capital and coaching for their businesses.
