There is an additional flight departing from KRT at 18:00 each Tuesday and arriving in AUH at 23:00. The return flight leaves AUH at 00:30 the following day, arriving in KRT at 03:30.

Eng. Ahmad Al Haddabi, Chief Operations Officer at Abu Dhabi Airports, commented: “Operating three direct flights by Sudan Airways will provide a vital connection between Abu Dhabi and Khartoum, and will allow for increased connectivity between two important regions. Abu Dhabi Airports looks forward to providing efficient service to all of Sudan Airways’ passengers with Abu Dhabi as their final stop or using AUH as their first step towards another international destination.”

The three weekly flights will be operated using both an Airbus 320 and Boeing 737 aircraft with 2 class configuration.

Osama Yousif, Regional Manager-Gulf at Sudan Airways, said: “Abu Dhabi International Airport is an increasingly desirable destination for travellers from Africa, as well as being the gateway to many other destinations. We continue on our path to building a carrier committed to the expansion of new routes to meet market demands.”

Sudan Airways has started operation to Abu Dhabi International Airport in mid 1970s and it is one of the first African Airlines when it was formed in February 1946. The Carrier is a member of the International Air Transport Association, of the Arab Air Carriers Organization since 1965.
