Seychelles Ministry of Health selects TriFour Health IT solution for Victoria hospital & 16 clinics

The Ministry of Health of the Indian Ocean islands of Seychelles has placed their trust in Microsoft and their partners TriFour Health and PWC, for this major project which will provide the ministry with the required tools to improve general health services and primary care to the population.

This project will cover the implementation of TriFour Healthcare Information System in the major referral hospital in Victoria and 16 remote clinics spread across the islands. The Ministry hopes this will lead to improved patient care, costing of services and an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) for each citizen that will track the treatments and outcomes from “cradle to grave”.

New technology will assist with the management of patient throughput, pharmacy dispensing and stock movements at each clinic in real time, or consolidate results and statistics at Head Office level.

This order follows close on the recent installations completed successfully at Mater Dei Hospital in Bulawayo (Zimbabwe) and AMI’s new hospital in Maputo, Mozambique.

“We are looking forward to this strategic partnership to meet the Ministry of Health's objectives and goals” said Johann Odendaal, CEO of TriFour Health.

The project will comment in August and include new modules for Immunisation, Family Planning and Occupation Health.
