SABMiller & Coca-Cola Name Efes Executive CEO Designate of Africa JV
Drink company giants SAB Miller and Coca cola have appointed Huseyin Akin, an executive at Anadolu Es, the Turkish company, as the chief operating officer of the new jointly done product, Coca Cola Beverages.
Mr Akin is presently the Deputy CEO of Anadolu Efes's Beverage Group.
Mr. Akin has been the Deputy President of International Operations since January 1, 2010 and served as the President of Turkey Region and General Manager of Turkey Operations at Coca-Cola Icecek A.S. Mr. Akin served as Commercial Director of Coca-cola Icecek As since 1998. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Akin served as Marketing Manager of The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) for the Caucasus and Central Asian Republics Region from 1993 to 1998, General Manager of Coca-Cola Marketing, Sales & Distribution Company from 1991 to 1993 and Key Accounts and Fountain Business Manager from 1989 to 1991.
Mr. Akin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and computer science from Princeton University and a Master of Business Administration degree in marketing, finance and international business from the University of Chicago.
