RTL International starts broadcasting in Southern Africa

RTL Group's new entertainment channel aimed at German speakers and ex-pats around the world has been launched in Southern Africa, namely in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Kenya, Togo, Ghana and Seychelles.

The new channel features genres such as live news, magazines soaps and series. RTL International, a pay channel, is available via satellite, cable, IP and over-the-top platforms.

The company announced that as of March, the channel will also be available online and as an app. The platform partners are Deukom for South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique and Zimbabwe and Satelio for Nigeria, Kenya, Togo, Ghana and Seychelles.
