Riverbed Promotes Elie Dib to Managing Director for MENA, West & Central Africa
Riverbed Technology, the leader in application performance infrastructure, has promoted Elie Dib to the position of Managing Director for the Middle East and North, Central and West Africa (MENA) region. Elie, who was previously regional head of channels at Riverbed, will now see his role expanded to include management of the sales, technical and channel teams in an effort to increase engagement with existing customers and drive penetration into new verticals and key markets.
Elie will report to Taj Elkhayat, who himself was recently promoted to Regional Vice President, Middle East, Turkey, North, West, and Central Africa at Riverbed. "As the channel head, Elie ensured that our go-to-market channel strategy was successfully implemented. He has demonstrated a keen understanding of the Riverbed Application Performance Platform„ and our portfolio of solutions, and is the ideal candidate to help position the company as a key technology provider for the hybrid enterprise," said Elkhayat.
As Managing Director for the MENA region, Elie will continue to fine tune Riverbed's business strategy to effectively grow the company's customer base in key markets such as the UAE, Qatar, Oman and Egypt. He will foster deeper engagement with the channel as well as Riverbed's Alliance partners such as EMC and Microsoft with the intention of capitalizing on more joint opportunities. Enterprise business requirements in the Middle East in recent years have created new opportunities for branch IT solutions such as Riverbed SteelFusion„ and Elie will also be tasked with developing and executing strategies to grow sales in these areas.
