Nile Air Operates First Ever All Female Crew In Egypt

Nile Air has operated the first ever flight by an all-female crew by an Egyptian airline. The historic scheduled service was operated between Cairo and Al Jawf (Saudi Arabia) on 5th September 2016 is to promote women’s empowerment and encourage more Egyptian women to pursue careers in aviation.

Flights NP183/184 was captained by the airline’s first female captain, Captain Narin Salem, along with First Officer, Fatema Soliman as the Co-Pilot. Looking after guests onboard was cabin crew chief, Reham Omar, along with her team of Kholoud Galal, Asma Gamal and Mai Hamed.

Nile Air Chief Executive Officer, Ahmed Aly said attracting more women to aviation jobs is one of the reasons for hosting the all-female flight, together with empowering women. “We are extremely proud of the achievements of women at Nile Air, who are represented throughout the airline, in leadership positions and playing a key role in the airline’s success and focus on customer satisfaction. This symbolic flight will inspire women - particularly in Egypt - with the boundless opportunities available to them.”
