Nile Air has announced its first European destination with the launch of services between Cairo and  Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen Airport in July 2016.

“Istanbul has become an increasingly popular destination for Egyptians, attracting both business and leisure travelers” said Ahmed Aly, the Chief Executive Officer of Nile Air. “Traffic between Egypt and Turkey has shown steady growth over the last 5 years, with Turkish national among the top 15 nationalities visiting Egypt.” He continued by adding that “Nile Air has already introduced three new routes this year and six more, including Istanbul, will follow by July 2016, strengthening our operations in the Middle East, Gulf, Africa & Europe,”

Istanbul is truly a world city, a city which everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime. It is an enchanting blend of Eastern and Western culture offering a spectacular array of sights and sounds for every visitor. Located on the rapidly-developing Asian side of Istanbul, the airport of Sabiha Gokcen doesn’t only offer a fresher travel experience, with shorter processing times, but also easier access to the city’s new financial centre as well as to popular outlet malls and thermal spas in the vicinity. Passengers heading to the European side can also take advantage of regular coaches that operate between Sabiha Gokcen and Taksim Square every half hour, taking approximately 45 minutes.

Services will launch from the 7th July, with services operating every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday.
