Nigeria: Mansard Insurance emerges Great Place to Work again
At the third anniversary of Great Place to Work in Nigeria, held on Friday, March 20, 2015, at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, Mansard Insurance plc for the third time emerged one of the outstanding workplaces in Nigeria. The company was recognized in the Small/ Medium population companies.
According to the organizers of the event, Great Place to Work Nigeria, ‘’the companies selected have clearly demonstrated the main attributes of a great workplace – they have the courage and confidence to build the kind of workplace where workers achieve organizational objectives by giving their personal best and working together as a team or family- all in an environment of trust’’.
Eight companies were on the 2015 Best Companies to Work For in Nigeria list, in the large population company category the winners were Akintola Williams Deloitte, Unilever Nigeria, DHL Nigeria and KONGA. In addition to Mansard Insurance, other organisations in the Small/ Medium population companies are Microsoft Nigeria, NSIA and Coca Cola.
For the first time, GPTWN honoured organization who have distinguished themselves by delivering excellence in four critical practice areas where best companies are known to excel. The areas are: Wellness; Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR); Leadership and Learning & Development. The respective winners in these areas are Microsoft Nigeria, Sahara Group, FITC and Deloitte Nigeria.
Some of the initiatives adopted by Mansard which received the applause of the organizers of the event include the on-site wellness facilities, the provision of a crèche for nursing mothers as well as paid maternity and paternity leave made available for staff.
