[Nigeria] Access Bank appoints Roosevelt Michael Ogbonna Group DMD

Access Bank Plc has announced the appointment of Mr. Roosevelt Michael Ogbonna, as Group Deputy Managing Director to replace Mr. Obinna Nwosu who recently resigned his appointment to pursue other personal endeavours.

Mr. Ogbonna is a consummate banking professional with over 19 years working experience cutting across Treasury, Commercial and Corporate Banking.

He has been the Group Executive Director, Commercial Banking Division since October 2013. He joined Access Bank in 2002 from Guaranty Trust Bank Plc.

The new Group Deputy Managing Director is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and holds a Second Class Upper Degree in Banking and Finance from University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

He has attended Executive Management Development Programmes on diverse areas of banking and management in world leading institutions.

He is also a member of reputable professional organizations including Institute of Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and the Future Leaders Group of the Institute of International Finance.

Mr. Ogbonna is a Non-Executive Director of Access Bank (Zambia) Limited and The Access Bank (UK) Limited.

Mr. Ogbonna’s appointment has been approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
