NC Bank Uganda appoints Sam Ntulume as Managing Director

Former Executive Director of NC Bank Uganda Sam Ntulume has been appointed as the bank’s Managing Director. The bank, a Ugandan subsidiary of Nairobi Securities Exchange listed NIC Bank, says Sam’s appointment is subject to regulatory approval by Bank of Uganda.has announced the appointment of Sam Ntulume as its Managing Director.

“I am very delighted that the Board was able to identify Sam Ntulume from within the organization. We also thank John Okulo for his service to NC Bank Uganda,” said NIC Bank Group Managing Director John Gachora while making the announcement. The appointment of Ntulume underlines NIC Bank Group’sstrategy of raising strong local leadership from within the organization.

Ntulume has over 20 years’ experience in financial management, financial reporting and business leadership in the financial services sector, distribution and marketing, public and manufacturing sectors. He holds an MBA from the East and Southern Africa Management Institute (ESAMI), a Fellowship of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and is a Certified Public Accountant (Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda), besides being a holder of a Diploma in Business Studies.

NC Bank Uganda is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nairobi-headquartered NIC Bank Limited. NC Bank Uganda was incorporated in August 2011 and issued with a commercial banking license by the Bank of Uganda in February 2012. Over the past two years, NC Bank Uganda has contributed positively to NIC Bank Group’s profits.The bank’s core target market includes local and regional corporates, SMEs and high net worth individuals.Ntulume replaces John Okulo who has left the bank to pursue other undertakings in Kenya.
