[Ghana] uniBank Launches its Extended Bancassurance Suite

uniBank on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 launched its imperious Bancassurance product: the uniBank Extended Bancassurance Suite in concert with its insurance partners, Star Assurance and Starlife Company Limited at the World Trade Center Building, Accra. 

Welcoming guests to the launch, Ekow Nyarko –Dadzie Dennis, Executive Director, stated that the inauguration of the product suite was primed to provide not only essential knowledge but also a platform to share experience, ask questions that bother on uniBank’s superb Bancassurance Products. He thus encouraged managers of the product to be mindful of the desired service expectation of customers and provide prompt service and quick settlement of claims.

The Chief Distribution Officer of Starlife, Nashiru Iddrisu, thanked uniBank for its partnership with Starlife, a market leader in the provision of insurance to its customers, an assured and customer centric insurance cover.

Boatemaa Duffuor Barfour-Awuah, the Executive Director of Star Assurance praised the synergy with uniBank and Starlife in creating the uniBank Extended Bancassurance suite; a range of insurance products she described as unique on the Ghanaian market. The new product, she stated, provides a one-stop shop for general insurance sale in a hassle free and convenient uniBank branches nationwide.

Outlining the features of the product, Clifford Duke Mettle, Director- eBanking, Products & Marketing indicated that the uniBank Extended Bancassurance Suite is a customer centered value proposition crafted to meet customer needs. He further stated that there are nine (9) products in the suite (Comprehensive Home Insurance, Wealth Master Plus, Family Protection Plan, Motor Insurance, Personal Accident Insurance, Travel Insurance, Home Call Plan, Ultimate Protection Plan, Child Lifeline Plus and Esteem Home Call) giving variety for customers to choose from the comprehensive range.

He assured the public on the relevance of the product; insisting the new product does not only affirm the bank’s customary care, but also improves and simplifies insurance complexities.

As part of the launch, a cheque  presentation of Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis was made to the beneficiary of a demised account holder; an amount representing 100% claim payment thus underpinning its tagline of “insurance is all about prompt claim”
