[Ghana] uniBank holds 3rd Corporate Breakfast Meeting

 

Felix Nyarko-Pong, Chief Executive Officer of uniBank (Ghana) Limited, has assured the bank's cherished customers that, it would endeavor to assist them with the best banking and financial products and services during these current economic challenges in order to keep them in businesses.
 
The CEO made this pledge amongst others during  the 3rd Corporate Breakfast meeting held at the plush Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra on  Wednesday, 24th June 2015.
 
Mr. Nyarko-Pong also advised customers to manage their working capital in this era of cedi depreciation, high inflation, energy crisis and the recent flood and fire disasters and its repercussions on the economy as a whole.
 
"In the midst of these challenges it was only natural for the Bank to slow down on its loan portfolio growth, judging that repayment from clients was going to be difficult", he disclosed.
 
That notwithstanding, the CEO said the bank grew its assets portfolio substantially in 2014. "This shows that our bank still went the extra mile to help our core customers who had excelled in their dealings with the Bank" he added.
 
"As a caring partner, it was our sole desire to envisage strategies aimed at alleviating some of the pressures on our clients and enhance customer delight" said the CEO before a packed room of a cross section of the bank's corporate and esteem customers clients.
 
The Corporate Breakfast Meetings present an interactive platform to enhance the personal and professional relationship between the bank and its corporate customers. The business interaction was targeted at addressing the stiffened economic crisis and how it was impacting on its customers' businesses and profitability..
 
The annual business forum is also used to discuss critical challenges facing the bank's customers with the aim of addressing and curbing same for a sustained business relationship.
 
Clifford Duke Mettle, General Manager, Operations, in his opening address, said the introduction of our Intelligent ATMs, uniBank MasterCard, revamping of our esteem banking, tailor-made products and services such as Sika Collect, uniHealth Loan and "Efie Ne Fie", with our active branch expansion among others, were all geared towards making our customers a little more comfortable in these trying economic times. "Be assured of a caring partner with all readiness to delight you", he told the delighted guests.
 
Prince Opoku Edusei, Manager, Strategy, and Performance Management, delivered a presentation on the general global and domestic economic indicators and performance over the past five years and how they have impacted negatively on businesses in Ghana .
 
He said it was evident that the challenges facing the economy was affecting most  customers and elicited feedback on how they have managed to survive all this while, with inflation jumping from 14.8% in 2014 to 16.9% in 2015. The Manager's presentation covered various sectors including agriculture, petroleum, gold industry, foreign exchange and construction
 
At the interactive forum, customers were given the opportunity to ask questions and appropriate responses were given by management staff of the bank.
 
The CEO finally assured them of inculcating into the Bank's strategy, all their concerns to enable the bank serve them better.
